This Picture were a UK alternative rock band that was formed in 1989 in Cheltenham, England and broke up in 1995, after releasing two albums. ==History== The band consisted of lead singer Symon Bye, Duncan Forrester (drums), Robert Forrester (guitar), and Austen Rowley, who replaced original bass player Steve Hughes in 1991.〔Sutton, Michael "(This Picture Biography )", Allmusic, retrieved 2011-05-07〕 The band released two albums, the Kevin Moloney-produced ''A Violent Impression'' (1991) and ''City of Sin'' (1994), both issued by RCA Records in the US and Dedicated in the UK.〔Jenkins, Mark (1992) "With This Picture, Excess Exhilarating", ''Washington Post'', 20 March 1992, p. In 2005, This Picture was scheduled to record a third album at the Loungefish Recording Studio in Gloucestershire with a Spring 2006 release but no release has been seen to date. Symon was also a member of a band called 'd tone & Me' and four of his songs are featured in a movie directed by E D Maytum, called ''Blind'' (2007). Rob has recently started a new band with Steve Whitfield (ex Belljar) and the band Twelve92 is writing and recording material for a 2015 release. Tom Demalon drew comparisons to U2 and Hothouse Flowers in his review of the album Violent Impression.
